First and foremost, we owe a lot of thanks to a lot of people for supporting this party into it’s sixth year and for supporting our other events, record label and other endeavors the better part of the last decade! Without you we’ve got nothing!
We’re proud to celebrate another year of Philadelphyinz in the books! Great parties, great people and great music are what keep us doing this event and we’d love it if you’d come and sip a lil somethin and dance a lil somethin with us to commemorate!
Long-time homie, incredible DJ and generally good dude WILLY JOY will be our guest. He’s held us down in Chicago, been making great tunes for Trouble & Bass and Plant Music and touring as Kid Sister’s DJ.
We’re always happy when Mic King makes the drive down the turnpike to get ridiculous on the mic and it’s always a good time to drop some rap and reggae at Silk.
This Friday we have DJ Dav doing an opening set, and you should make sure you get there to take a listen to the kid because he’s on the come up!

I’m super excited that the sequel to RCMP is finally coming out. We’ve been plugging away at this record for about two years, and it’s finally ready to hit the (digital) shelves. Every flavor of disco on this – from epic burners to soaring synth solos to boogie to tech-ed out swingers! The remix lineup is amazing, featuring artists from Strictly Rhythm, RVNG INTL, Fool’s Gold, Solid Bump and of course, Young Robots.
I contributed a version of the Beatnuts’ Se Acabo to this awesome compilation that Jon Kwest threw together. Amazing artwork too!

Big day today – the third installment of our Moombahton de Acero series is out, and this time it features appearances by producers other than Skinny and myself, namely Cassius Slay, Jay Fay and Tiny Cat. I have two tunes on there, one of which is a collab with Skinny where we flip the iconic Evil Dee drop from Soundbombing 1 (Kick It) and the other of which is a latin-flavored tech house type jam with lots of guitars and hand percussion, in my characteristic styleeee.
There is also a release party tonight in Manhattan with Skinny, Ayres, Cousin Cole, Reck and Phi Unit as well as yours truly. You can find the details in the sidebar.
You can preview the tracks in the player above, and the download link is below!
We have revamped youngrobots.com to ready our web presence for a huge slate of fall releases including RCMP II, Moombahton de Acero Vol. 3 as well as records by Pumpkin Patch, Bang Noyes and Solidisco. We’re also going to be starting a Young Robots podcast hosted by Ed Blammo, Shawn Ryan and yours truly.
There are also going to be some changes around here. For starters, you’ll notice that philadelphyinz.com is now a splash page which lets you go to this page or to Skinny’s page. Also, this site is now double-indexed as djaptone.com. I’ll be making more changes to the layout and features as time goes on. Thanks a lot to Skinny for his technical help!
Go check out the site at youngrobots.com and see what we’ve got cooking!
The Ball is back! If you missed last month’s extravaganza with Big Freedia, you can see the photos on Facebook. It was a WILD time! But if you missed out, DO NOT DESPAIR! We have more in store and it’s gonna be glammy, glitzy and just downright goofy fun when our friends SWEATHEART invade Kung Fu Necktie this Friday!
Sweatheart is basically the most fun thing that can happen to you, so I suggest you plan accordingly!
