Little rundown of some news as we turn for the homestretch in 2012.
-Look out for some stuff coming at the revamped Liberties Bar at 2nd and Fairmount in Philly. I’ll be holding it down there this Saturday and then stay tuned for an announcement about some events going on there.
-Some dudes bootlegged my Pyramids remix on vinyl, along with some Todd Terje, U-Tern and Solidisco cuts. They never got my approval, but I’m not mad, it’s a bootleg of a bootleg. Buy it if you love wax. I couldn’t find the contact for the guys who made it, if you know who they are, let em know I want a few copies.
-I will be in Asia for the last several weeks of December, but fear not, DJ Bruce, Willyum and Jesse Merlin have you covered at Electric City at KFN this month.
-A writer from travel site Travora.com recently hit me up for some tips on Philly musical culture and history. Read his piece and tell me how well you think he captured the zeitgeist.
-I’m working on a few full-length records right now (three actually) – and some of that should see the light of day fairly soon. In the mean-time, I’m getting winter and spring touring together that should see me all over the map. Holler at me if you want me in your city!
