A remix I did for the homie Zilla Rocca (of MoneyFolders and Clean Guns fame) just came out today. I wanted to give Zilla a beat that was reflective of my personal style and taste, but true to various root elements of hip-hop. I’m pretty happy with the result- a soulful yet danceable track that leaves room for Zilla’s creative raps. It’s a disco joint, but not at all in the modern, “nu-disco” sense. It’s a disco joint just like much of early rap was simply vocal grooves over disco grooves.
